Literature Survey: Exploring the Breadth of Energy Medicine— Doctorate Level


Description

The field of Energy Medicine is vast and growing. This course will help students perceive the breadth of the field. Students will understand how their own chosen specialty area fits into and relates to the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM) organization and to understand how information is disseminated and research is funded.

Objectives

Students will complete a wide exploration of literature and resources within the breadth of Energy Medicine based on the five categories of alternative and complementary practices developed by National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM). The categories include: Alternative Medical Systems, Mind-Body Interventions, Biological-based Therapies, Manipulative and Body-based Methods, and Energy Therapies.
