Connection, Communication, Creation, and Communion I
Description
Many of the most pressing interpersonal, community, and international issues today revolve around connection, communication, creation, and communion, or the lack thereof. When present, they embody potent forms of energy medicine. This course explores the nature and experience of the process of internal and external, verbal and nonverbal, intuitive and psychophysiological, interpersonal and international, connection, communication, creation, and communion. The ways one affects oneself and is affected by others through thoughts, words, and actions, conversation and dialogue, social networks and global dynamics, will be explored. The course will include a review of contemporary communication models and techniques, patterns and perspectives, from inner awareness to Bohemian dialogue, Nonviolent Communication to citizen consensus councils.
Objectives
- Develop and deepen their awareness of the processes of connection, communication, creation, and communion
- Be able to utilize this awareness within themselves and with others in their research and therapeutic methods, and healing profession
- Practice and develop skills involving connecting, communicating, creating, and communing
- Be able to assist clients by using the awareness and understanding they have gained, and apply that knowledge wisely and effectively
